AKC English and American Labradors

Otis Labradors are more than man’s best friend. They’re your constant companions. Your dropped food Hoovers. Your exercise motivators. Your shotgun riders. Your cuddle bugs. Your hunting buddies. Your soul feeders. Your frown upside down turners. Otis Labs are your family – and when you adopt one, you become part of ours.

Vet Checked

All puppies are vet checked for hip, palette and other physical abnormalities and are up to date on shots.

Dew Claws Removed

Dew claws are removed between 3 and 5 days of age by our veterinarian. We do this to prevent damage to the paw through tearing or catching of the fifth claw. This is especially important for Labradors, who are working dogs that like to be active outside.

AKC Registration Ready

All litters are AKC registered to us and ready for your personal registration. We only sell limited registration to individuals, which means the dogs may not be bred. In certain circumstances, we may consider offering a full registration puppy to established breeders more than 200 miles from East Tennessee.

Fully Socialized

Our puppies are fully socialized to kids, dogs & cats. They are raised inside in our mud room, not in a kennel. At five weeks, we begin taking them along on car rides and to local stores. We feed three times daily at the appropriate age, in groups, to ensure there are no issues with food guarding.

Take Back Guarantee

No Otis Lab should ever be passed around to anyone other than the original owners or end up in a shelter. Ever. For this reason, should a change of circumstances prevent you from caring for your dog, we will take it back. No questions asked. For the life of the dog. Guaranteed.

Stud Services

At this time, we are not offering stud services for Milo Otis of Willow’s Tree Aspen.

Breeding

Our dams and sire are our family pets. Each female is bred only once per year to allow for a full heat cycle to rest and recuperate. We have two dams so this means we only have two litters per year. The health of our animals is our number one priority. Our litters are usually born in late summer/early fall.

We support veterans and first responders.

We know the toll serving can take on those who are called to serve. We believe in the healing and helping power of dogs. Because of this, Otis Labs donates at least one dog per year to a veteran or first responder, either directly or through a support group. In 2023, we placed one dog with Paws & Badges in Knoxville, TN, who is training to be a service dog and PTSD companion animal. We placed a second dog personally with a KY veteran of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars. If you wish to be considered for next year’s placement, please email us through our contact page.

“Our Otis lab is the MOST LOVING dog I’ve ever had…and I’ve had a lot of labs and other dogs. It was evident from day 1 that she had been loved and socialized before we got her. She transitioned right into our family, and has continued to be loved (and maybe a little spoiled😁).”
